Zelensky says key for Ukraine to seek peace

Ukrainian and US delegations will meet as early as this week to work on the points of the US peace plan.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address to the nation that the main task for the country on the way to ending the war is to defend its positions, as well as effective resistance on the frontline and joint work with international partners.
The world depends not on the threats of the Russian Federation, but on what conditions will be created to make the continuation of aggression impossible. And on what we ourselves do to protect the state, people and national rights," Zelensky said.
He stressed that the stronger the Ukrainian defence on the front, the more successful diplomacy will be and the more active the international community will be able to pressure Russia to end the war.
The President also recalled the current sanctions against Russia and the priorities for putting pressure on the aggressor: the oil sector, technologies, finances and assets working for the Russian military machine.
The world will help us," Zelensky assured.
In addition, he said that already this week there will be a meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations to discuss the key points of the US peace plan.
We shall remind you that earlier Western mass media published information about the 28-point US plan, which was then reduced to 19-22 points and discussed in Geneva with the participation of Ukrainian and EU delegations. The final approval of the document is expected at the meeting of the leaders of the two countries.
