Any negotiations with the Russian Federation will become impossible if the “trial” of the Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol takes place.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening address.
If this vile trial takes place, if our people, in violation of all agreements, international rules, are led into these scenery ... This will be the line along which any negotiations are impossible. Russia will cut itself off from negotiations. There will be no more talk. Our state has said everything,” he said.
According to the president, there are now enough reports in the media that scenery is being prepared in Mariupol for the trial of the Ukrainian military, which is held captive by the invaders. The head of state said that Ukraine's reaction would be apparent, despite any plans of the Russians.
It is worth recalling that on August 6, the Mariupol City Council reported on the plans of the Russians to conduct lynching of Ukrainian defenders in the local philharmonic society.
