Zelensky reported an increase in the activity of Russian troops on a number of sections of the frontline

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that fighting on the front line has intensified, especially in the Pokrovskyy, Limanskyy and Kupyanskyy directions. The Ukrainian leader said this in his video message.

The President also said that he had heard a report of the AFU Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyy. According to him, there is an increase in the activity of Russian troops in some parts of the front, and the heaviest fighting is now taking place in the eastern direction.

So far we see only new Russian strikes and new Russian assaults," Zelensky said, stressing that he hopes for the US decisiveness on the issue of sanctions, which, in his opinion, can help stabilise the situation.

In addition, Zelensky emphasised the importance of the ongoing Kursk operation, which he said is holding back a significant number of Russian forces.

We would like to point out that the Russian Federation occupied 18 localities in three regions of Ukraine over the week. Since 23 May, the Russians have seized almost 200 square kilometres of Ukrainian territory.
