- Zelensky reacted to Trump's criticism of him

Zelensky responded ironically to Trump's criticism of aid to Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made an original comment on US President Donald Trump's criticism of the amount of military aid to Ukraine.
During a joint press conference in Kiev with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, Zelenskyy was asked whether he expects to change the position of the current administration in Washington, as Trump continues to criticise the support for Ukraine provided by the previous government.
In response, the Ukrainian President said that he perceives such criticism as a kind of indicator of aid effectiveness.
Sometimes President Trump criticises me. That is why I have such an attitude to it: if you see that criticism increases, it means that we help even more. I think the main thing is to help people. The rest is not so important," Zelensky emphasised.
Earlier, Trump also criticised his predecessor Joe Biden, saying that the latter had transferred too many weapons to Ukraine.
In addition, the American president claims that Ukraine and Russia have already been close to a peace agreement several times, but each time one of the parties backed down. According to him, a deep mutual hatred persists between the countries.
