Zelenski arrives in Rome on a visit
Zelenski's visit to Italy includes a meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
On Saturday, 13 May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Rome on an official visit to Italy, where he will meet Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney and Pope Francis. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's Telegram channel.
Zelensky called the visit important for our upcoming victory.
It is known that at 10.13am, Volodymyr Zelenski landed at the Ciampino airport in Rome, where he was met by Foreign Minister Tajani.
It is not yet known whether a joint press conference between Vladimir Zelenski and his host officials will be held in Rome.
Previously, it was expected that the Ukrainian president would travel from Italy to Germany. However, due to leaked information about the details of Zelenskyy's trip to Germany, this visit remains in doubt.
