Ukrainian president addresses Russian opposition

For Ukraine to win, we need joint action.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed Russian dissidents and urged them to "do something concrete to change the situation". He said this in an interview with Sky TG24.

He pointed out that people who oppose Putin "must move forward" and do it together.

There is no other way out. Ukraine must defeat the enemy. Europe must support Ukraine for the benefit of common values, and people in Russia must do something concrete to change the situation," he said.

The president noted that it had become extremely difficult to send messages to Russia because people living in Russia seem to "do not want to hear anything".

It should be noted that the Free Russia Forum held its 5th Anti-War Conference in Tallinn in the first half of October. The Russian opposition discussed strategies of resistance of Russians, economic consequences of the war and the guilt of "good Russians". On the eve of its participants adopted a resolution in which they called for supporting the armed struggle of the AFU and volunteer associations of Russian citizens, as well as declared the recognition of any forms of forceful resistance to Putinism by Russians.

Putin has been president of Russia since 2000, with a break in 2008-2012, when he was head of government. In 2020, the Russian constitution was amended to allow Putin to run for Kremlin chief again in 2024.
