Ramstein 9 meeting - what will Ukraine's allies discuss?

the 9th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence began in Brussels on 14 February, with more than 50 countries attending.

The US and allies will continue to help Ukraine, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said at the opening session. In spring, the resources accumulated will be enough to launch a counter-offensive.

The Contact Group has made it clear that we will support Ukraine's fight for freedom in the long term and help Ukraine hold on and press on during the spring counter-offensive," Austin said

He said the allies have now provided $50 billion in aid, while Russia has bet that support for Ukraine will wane over time, but the allies, according to Lloyd Austin, are "more united than ever."

The main issues to be discussed at this Ramstein Group meeting are:

  • Protecting Ukraine's skies, including - through the involvement of an air platform,

  • the development of a "tank coalition",

  • the development of an ammunition stockpile,

  • training programmes for our warriors,

  • the stability of support - logistics, maintenance, repair, practical implementation of the "Military Schengen".

earlier, on the air of the "united news" telethon, Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, stated the following:

"Ramstein is such a think tank where everyone can discuss the advancing phase of the war. Today we have the phase of the war about intercepting the initiative first of all. Russia has accumulated its final resource, many mobilized. It's true, maybe not as prepared as those who first entered the territory of Ukraine, but meanwhile there are a lot of them. The second component is armored vehicles, which Russia has supplied us with as much as it could find. The third component is artillery, which Russia also supplied from everywhere. Therefore at Ramstein will be proclaiming what we need
