Explosions at Russian airfields. There are casualties

These airfields were home to long-range aviation, which hit Ukrainian cities from over 1,000 kilometres away.

This was reported by Ukrinform citing Russian telegram channels.

As of this morning, it is known that a petrol tanker exploded at an airfield near Ryazan and a drone fell on bombers at an airfield in Saratov Region. At least 3 people were killed in these incidents.

In Ryazan Region, a fuel tanker explosion killed three people and injured six.

At an airfield in Saratov region, a drone crashed on the Engels-1 runway, causing damage to two Tu-95 bombers. Two soldiers are also known to have been injured.

Russia's long-range aviation is stationed at both airfields. These aircraft carry cruise missiles which hit Ukrainian cities at a distance of over 1,000 kilometres.
