Danilov tells what guarantees the Russians are prepared to give

Danilov believes that Macron has a "strange logic".

The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has reacted sharply to French President Emmanuel Macron, who said that the West should consider how to meet Russia's need for "security guarantees" if President Vladimir Putin agrees to talks on ending war in Ukraine.

At the same time, Danilov stressed that it was the world that needed "security guarantees" after the war unleashed by Russia, not the other way around. No one should sign agreements and "shake hands" with a terrorist country, his Facebook page said.

He also stressed that a guarantee of security for Russia could be considered that the European judicial system is humane - the verdict in The Hague does not provide for the death penalty:

They want to give security guarantees to a terrorist and murderer country? Instead of Nuremberg - signing an agreement with Russia and shaking hands? Ukrainian blood on Putin's hands will not prevent business as usual? Strange logic of backstabbing diplomacy, whose time is over. The only guarantee is that the European judicial system is humane - after the verdict in The Hague there is no provision for the death penalty

French President Emmanuel Macron is convinced that the war between Ukraine and Russia will end at the negotiating table and the impossibility of NATO expansion will be one of the topics of the dialogue.

The French leader is convinced that the future security of Europe will also include "security guarantees" for Russia. At the same time, he assured that it is Ukraine that will decide when to start negotiations with the enemy.
