AFU advances hundreds of metres daily in the south - Urshalovich

Every day the Ukrainian military in the south is advancing by hundreds of metres. However, this is happening under the most difficult conditions: the enemy is constantly shelling the positions and has significantly mined the terrain.
Colonel Mykola Urshalovych, deputy director of the department of planning for application of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine, said this during a briefing at the Military Media Centre.
According to him, the Ukrainian military's offensive is going hard due to mined terrain and enemy fire influence.
Our assault groups supported by tanks and artillery continue their gradual movement to the south and south-east, forcing the occupants out of Ukrainian soil. Our soldiers and officers are practically gnawing through the enemy's defences. Every day we have an advance of several hundred metres," Urszalowicz said.
He added that during last week the enemy shelled the positions of the AFU about 700 times by tanks and artillery in Kupyansk and Limansk directions.
The aggressor was testing the stability of our defence, tried to break through the lines and cut into the fighting order. But all his attempts were unsuccessful and were repulsed by the Ukrainian defenders, - said the speaker.
As previously reported, in the north the aggressor is trying to use sabotage and reconnaissance groups. In turn, Sergei Nayev noted that in this direction sufficient forces and means to counter any threats of the Russian Federation.
Also in the AFU noted that the enemy continues to conduct reconnaissance operations from the air. For this purpose, the Russians use drones. The largest number of which were recorded in the Kherson region.
