Enemy directs Wagnerians to Bakhmut direction - Malyar
The enemy is struggling to take control of Bakhmut before 9 May, and to do so it is bringing in Wagner PMC mercenaries to the town.
Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar said this on Telegram.
The enemy is struggling to take control of Bakhmut before 9 May. To accomplish this task, they are dragging Wagner troops in other directions and replacing them with assault groups of paratroopers who are now fighting in the Bakhmut direction," Malyar said.
She added that the Ukrainian defenders do not allow the enemy to break through the defence. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed the Wagnerian ammunition storage sites.
We shall remind you that Yevhen Prigozhin, head of the criminal formation CHIK Wagner, said that he would withdraw the Wagnerians from Bakhmut starting from 10 May. According to him, in Bakhmut, the Wagnerites are doomed to death due to a lack of ammunition. Therefore, they are "forced to hand over their positions in the Bakhmut settlement to units of the Defence Ministry and withdraw the remnants of the Wagner PMC to the rear camps to lick their wounds".
