Most of the teachers were asked to retire for a while.

About 11,000 Ukrainian children will study in Austrian schools next academic year. Such a large number of students posed a difficult task for the authorities to find places for them in schools and attract new teachers to the educational process. According to APA, an additional 433 teachers had to be hired because of the Ukrainians.

Of these, 116 teachers returned to work from retirement, another 88 were closed at the expense of Ukrainian teachers who came to the country, and 33 came to teach before graduating from universities.

Most teachers were hired in Upper Austria (126), followed by Vienna (85), Tyrol (71), Styria (65), Lower Austria (39), Burgenland (23), Salzburg (17), Vorarlberg (6), and Carinthia (1).

There are also private educational institutions in the country. For a year of a child's education in an elite private boarding school in Austria, parents will pay € 30,000.
