Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Japanese Parliament. He called on international organizations to reform.

President Zelensky addressed, as announced, to the Japanese parliament.

Highlights from the speech:

▪️ Japan has become a leader in supporting Ukraine in Asia, immediately coming to the aid of Ukraine, supporting sanctions against the Russian Federation;

▪️ He reminded about the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant: “On February 24, armored vehicles of the Russian Federation went across the land in which radioactive materials were buried, and the nuclear power plant became the arena of war”;

▪️ There are 4 nuclear power plants in Ukraine for 15 power units, all of them are under threat - the Russian Federation has already fired at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, a chemical plant in Sumy, “we are warned about chemical attacks using sarin, like in Syria”;

▪️ The Russian Federation even blocked the sea, showing other aggressor countries “how to put pressure on free peoples”;

▪️ New, preventive, international guarantees are needed, “support for the freedom of peoples” at a time when international institutions have not worked, and the world is on the eve of new turbulence;

▪️ Japan's leadership can become indispensable in their development, "I offer this to you";

▪️ It is necessary to stop the "tsunami of the Russian invasion" - through an embargo on trade with the Russian Federation, the withdrawal of companies from the Russian market, "we need to help our state and soldiers even more";

▪️ It is necessary today to think about the restoration of destroyed cities: "I'm sure you understand the feelings - when you return to your native land."
