Explosions heard in Russian-occupied Melitopol

The city was seized by the Russians on 25 February 2022. The invaders use Melitopol as a military base.
In temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya Region, locals heard at least 10 loud explosions in the northern part of the city on the morning of 11 March. This was reported on the city mayor Ivan Fedorov's Telegram.
Melitopol is loud. Residents are reporting more than ten loud explosions in the northern part of the city. The information is being clarified," Fedorov wrote.
The occupation "administration" remains silent about what happened.
As the local publication Ria-Melitopol noted, it was so loud in the city that some locals thought that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had finally launched a counteroffensive and the liberation of Melitopol was near.
It could be heard in every district of the city. Many thought it was an attack by the AFU. The occupants in the Russian telegram trash talkers are not commenting on what is happening yet. There have been no announcements about r*shist exercises and praised air defence work," the newspaper said.
