Experts predict an increase in demand for workers.

In Ukraine, in June, the number of vacancies among blue-collar workers increased by 20% compared to the previous month. This is stated in the study of the expert-analytical center of the personnel portal grc.ua, transferred to UNIAN.

The share of vacancies in the sphere of working personnel is 8% of all relevant ones on the portal and is included in the top 5 most demanded professional areas, it was reported.

And although representatives of working specialties are in demand in all regions of Ukraine, more than a third of current vacancies are now open in Lviv and the region. In second place among the regions is the city of Dnipro and the region, the third line is occupied by the Donetsk region.

Almost half of all vacancies are designed for people without work experience (47%) and the same number for people with a minimum experience of 1 to 3 years. Experience from 3 to 6 years is required in only 4% of current vacancies, and more experienced specialists are in demand in only 2% of vacancies.

Experts have identified the most popular hacks from employers. The most demanded were: installers - 14%, movers - 13%, and the third line is occupied by pickers and packers of goods - 10% of all current vacancies.

At the same time, the average salary for blue-collar workers is UAH 13,700. The minimum salary for these specialists starts from UAH 8,900, the majority of such vacancies are 44%. Only 9% of job offers for workers have a salary of UAH 22,300 and 6% of vacancies offer a salary of UAH 26,800.

Analysts believe that the demand for blue-collar workers will increase.

In a crisis in the labor market, Ukrainians often face employment problems. Reduced salaries, a small number of job offers, high competition and an increase in the job search period force specialists to retrain. The competition among representatives of working specialties is not too high now, so it is possible to find a job in such positions without any problems, the report says.

The State Employment Service published a report on the situation on the labor market in January-April 2022. According to them, during January-April 2022, 559.9 thousand people used the services of the Service, of which 495 thousand were registered unemployed, which is 34% less than in the same period last year.

Since March 1, 53.8 thousand people have been employed, of which 47.9 thousand are unemployed. According to the State Employment Service, the average duration of a job search has decreased from 112 days to 91 days. This figure has decreased in all regions, but most of all in the Transcarpathian, Volyn, Luhansk, Lviv, Dnepropetrovsk, Chernivtsi regions.

As of May 1, 2022, 283.4 thousand people had the status of unemployed, which is 30% less than last year. Nearly 245,000 people received unemployment benefits, 29% less than in the past.

In total, there were more women among the registered unemployed - 61%. Most of the unemployed were registered at the age of 34-44 and 45-55 (29% and 28% respectively). 26% of the registered unemployed were under the age of 35; 17% are over 55 years old.
