A memorial complex dedicated to the inhabitants of Bucha and Irpen will appear in Ukraine


Russian invaders killed hundreds of civilians in the Kiev region.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the construction of a future memorial complex, which will be dedicated to saving the inhabitants of Irpin and Bucha from Russian troops. This is stated in the address of the head of state.
A project of a memorial complex is being prepared, which will tell the story of the destroyed bridge in the Kiev region, which connected Irpen and Bucha with Kiev. (He will tell, - Ed) the story of people who fled from the Russian invaders along this bridge, - the president said.
According to the mayor of the city of Irpin, Alexander Markushin, the Russian invaders damaged more than 1,000 buildings.
Of these, 115 buildings were completely destroyed, almost 700 were significantly damaged and 187 require partial repairs.
Satellite images showed that as a result of the temporary occupation by Russian troops, about 71% of the city was damaged in Irpin.
4 educational institutions and 3 medical buildings were destroyed.
In Bucha, 2 large mass graves were found, 40 bodies in the first and 57 in the second. Of the 40 bodies in the first grave, 95% were killed by snipers or small arms.
In Bucha, out of more than 20 destroyed high-rise buildings, two cannot be restored. Dismantling of the most damaged skyscrapers is currently being considered. At the same time, a new power line is being laid. The streets of the city were almost completely freed from fragments of shells and glass. The Buchans themselves are gradually returning home and taking on repairs.
