Only seven Ukrainian refugees moved to the States from March 1 to March 16.

It is reported by Reuters.

Plans are underway to speed up visa processing for relatives of US citizens and green card holders and to assign more immigration officers to process applications for temporary protected status.

Earlier it was reported that some Ukrainians in the United States will be able to stay in the country for up to 18 months - under a federal program known as temporary protected status. To be eligible for protection, people must have been in the US since at least March 1.
