There is no procedure for accepting refugees from Ukraine in the USA
The lack of clear rules and procedures creates problems for Ukrainians seeking asylum in the United States.

US President Joe Biden previously announced that the US would accept 100,000 Ukrainian refugees, but the legal details of this initiative are not yet known.
The United States is announcing plans to take up to 100,000 Ukrainians and people of other nationalities fleeing Russian aggression and open up a significant number of legal options for them, including a US refugee program. In particular, we are working to expand and develop new programs specifically for Ukrainians who have relatives in the United States, the White House website says.
But neither the US administration nor the immigration services have made public the procedural and legal details and requirements for obtaining refugee status by Ukrainians, the newspaper writes.
Our first reaction is very positive. We applaud this decision. Our first reaction: wow. But being bureaucrats, we, consuls, must first of all see the documents. We must see the laws that tell us how we should act, what we should do. What are the rules by which our refugees will arrive here, - said in an interview with the publication Consul General of Ukraine in New York Oleksiy Golubov.
