Russia says it has still recruited soldiers for the war

Russia's defence ministry says it is preparing for a prolonged military conflict.
Russia has formed nine new reserve regiments for the war against Ukraine. This was announced by Russian invaders' Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu, Russian media reported.
If we go back to the contractors, we have reserve regiments formed for each grouping, as it was decided by the Russian General Staff. As of today, we have nine reserve regiments, which are being prepared, and their natural, constant replenishment is underway," he said.
In addition, Shoigu said that the Russian Army is constantly being replenished with "volunteers".
During this time we have recruited 38 thousand volunteers. People come highly motivated, ready to fulfil combat tasks. Someone already has combat experience, because many of the volunteers, having completed a six-month contract, return for a second, and there are those who return for a third time," the head of the Russian Defence Ministry pointed out.
Russian media reported that Shoigu visited the south where the fighting is taking place. There he praised officials from different regions of the Russian Federation who have sent detachments of "volunteers" to the war in Ukraine. In particular, the head of Yakutia.
Shoigu also said that many "female volunteers" had joined the ranks of the Russian army. According to him, these are "doctors, medical workers".
