Russia will identify conscripts through CCTV cameras

More than 5,000 people will be conscripted into military service in Moscow this year.
This has been reported in the Russian media.
According to Russian publications, conscripts in Moscow who do not live at their place of registration will now be tracked by CCTV cameras. This information was confirmed by the military commissar of the Russian capital, Maxim Loktev.
In order to determine the place of residence of a conscript, the Moscow video surveillance systems are used. On the instructions of the mayor of Moscow, the organisations where conscripts work provide information about them to the military commissariat. Educational organizations help us determine where a conscript is studying.
In addition, the military registration and enlistment office will demand information about a draftee's companies, where he can work. Now, even if a draftee does not live at his or her place of residence, he or she can be easily located and drafted into the army.
The RosSMI reports that more than 5,000 people will be conscripted for military service in Moscow.
It is also worth noting that in the past the Russian capital city invested billions of rubles in facial recognition technologies, which are now located throughout the entire city.
As the military commissar himself says, now the conscripts have nowhere to go.
