Russian strike on Lviv destroys 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid
Today's Russian attack destroyed a warehouse of the NGO Caritas-Spes in Lviv, where some 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid was stored.
This was stated by the UN humanitarian coordinator in Ukraine, Denise Brown.
In the report, Brown condemned the Russian strike on Lviv. She also said that about 300 tonnes of humanitarian supplies were stored on the burnt-out train.
During the year, the strikes on humanitarian assets have intensified, which affects those who are already experiencing the terrible consequences of the war," the UN coordinator emphasised.
She reminded that humanitarian workers, institutions and assets are protected under international humanitarian law and strikes against them are prohibited.
We will remind, tonight the army of the Russian Federation attacked Lviv with drones. Soon it became known about hitting industrial warehouses and fires at four locations. From under the rubble pulled out two people - a woman refused hospitalisation, and a man with a fracture was taken to hospital.
