Three Polish residents attacked Ukrainian teenagers

In Gdansk (Poland), three local residents attacked 16-year-old teenagers from Ukraine. The attackers were detained and face up to five years in prison.



This was reported by the Polish publication Kontakt24.

The event took place on 4 September. The police received a report that a 16-year-old girl was attacked in the street. At the scene, the police found that an unknown woman approached the victim and started hitting her head and face. In addition, the woman damaged the victim's phone.

On defence of the girl stood up her 16-year-old friend, who was attacked by two men. The perpetrators hit him several times and strangled him, breaking his glasses, as well as threw his handbag with his phone into the water - said the spokeswoman of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, Sub-Inspector Magdalena Ciska.

Police identified the attackers. As it turned out, a 26-year-old resident of Gdańsk, who was caught on CCTV cameras. When the attacker was taken to the police station, she was drunk. The 28-year-old and 43-year-old men were detained afterwards.

It is noted that the woman was charged with "inflicting moderate bodily harm to a 16-year-old girl, as well as damaging the victim's phone and causing damage to the amount of one thousand zlotys". She is in custody. The suspect is also forbidden to contact the victim and witnesses of the event.

A 28-year-old man was also charged.

The perpetrator was charged with beating a 16-year-old boy, as well as destroying his glasses, bag and phone and causing damage totalling more than PLN 3,000. According to the prosecutor's decision, the man is also under police surveillance and is forbidden to contact witnesses, the victim and to approach him - the press officer said.

The 43-year-old attacker is also expected to be charged soon.

The maximum penalty for causing moderate bodily harm involves imprisonment of up to 5 years. The same punishment is provided for damage to property. The penalty for participating in the beating is up to 3 years in prison.
