OPU believes Russians may be shelling schools

Russian invaders may strike Ukrainian schools to sow panic and fear, the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, has said. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, on the air of the news telethon "Ediny Noviny".

He pointed out that Kiev schools had already faced terror on 1 September and recalled that children had to leave schools urgently because unknown people called and informed them that all schools in the capital were booby-trapped.

In Russia, one hand does what the other doesn't know about. Because why should they have mined and continue to perform these functions of fictitious mines, when they can raise MiG-31, and they can constantly provoke us with sirens - an air threat," Podolyak said.

The politician emphasised that in this way the Russian Federation exerts psychological pressure on Ukrainians.

We foresee all this. Of course, we understand that there will be such provocations. Of course, we understand that we will have a combined school year with you. Some of the children will be learning online. Partly they will study offline," Podolyak said.

He added that it is important for schools to make sure how well equipped bomb shelters are in educational institutions and to respond to alarms in time.

We would like to add that during the full-scale war, 3,750 Ukrainian schools were damaged or completely destroyed by Russian missiles and bombs.
