The NBU announced the volume of private money transfers to Ukraine from abroad


In 2021, labor migrants transferred $15,026 million to Ukraine.
In total, in January-May 2022, Ukraine received $5,236 million from abroad. It is reported by the NBU.
They specified that the volume of private money transfers to Ukraine from abroad in May 2022 amounted to $1,162 million. This is 3.0% more than in May last year ($1,128 million) and 14.9% more than in April this year ($1,011 million).
It is noted that in January-May 2022, Ukraine received $5,236 million. This is 7.9% less than a year earlier ($5,684 million).
Recall that at the end of 2021, a record $15.02 billion was transferred to Ukraine, which is 25.4% more ($11.98 billion) than a year earlier. In 2020, the volume of transfers to Ukraine amounted to $11.98 billion. The highest level was recorded in December ($1.109 billion). In 2019, transfers to Ukraine amounted to almost $12 billion.
