The Ministry of Internal Affairs told in which regions it is still dangerous to swim in reservoirs

Western partners in the near future may provide Ukrainian sappers with underwater drones for demining water bodies.
Most of the reservoirs of the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions remain mined, which means it is dangerous to swim there, said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the broadcast of the all-Ukrainian telethon.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the safety of reservoirs on the eve of the hot season is determined by the local authorities, after inspecting the State Emergency Service.
Where there were hostilities, it will be a long demining. This requires special equipment, which we have extremely little, - he stressed.
At the same time, he noted that Western partners could soon provide Ukrainian sappers with underwater drones for demining water bodies. Special equipment will make it possible to neutralize explosive objects in conditions of poor visibility.
We turned to our international partners, colleagues from the European Union - they will help us both with teams that will come from abroad, and directly with the equipment for such demining, but it is very specific, - the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stated that it would take up to 10 years for the complete demining of Ukrainian territories where hostilities are taking place or have taken place. About 300,000 square kilometers have now been mined.
According to him, now almost half of the territory of Ukraine is contaminated with unexploded ordnance.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, pyrotechnics have managed to clear 30,000 square kilometers. Specialists neutralized 130,000 munitions, including almost 2,000 bombs.
