Some 68,000 land sales have already been concluded in Ukraine.

In the two years since the launch of the land market in Ukraine, the value of each hectare has increased by 20%. On average, they now ask about 39,000 hryvnias for it. The Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Lyudmyla Shemelinets said this during a telethon.

She noted that there is a constant increase in the price of land. Even during the war, buyers are interested in land for agricultural purposes.

In 2021 we had an average price of 32 thousand hryvnia per hectare, today we have 39 thousand - the average price in Ukraine - said Shemelinets.

At the same time, she pointed out that the cost of hectares is not geographically uniform. Right now the most expensive land is in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. There they ask for 74 thousand hryvnias for one hectare. In Lviv and Kyiv regions they sell it for 56 thousand, in Poltava and Ternopil regions it is 40 thousand per hectare.

She has pointed out that over the last two years the Government has already performed about 68 thousands of land sales and 16 thousands of land donations.

Shemielinets said that part of the land purchased earlier ended up in the hands of the occupiers, and many of the plots were mined.

Of the 470 thousand hectares of land, 150 thousand had already been released after demining. The owners of mined land have been exempted from taxation for it," she said.

The deputy minister believes that the value of land in Ukraine will continue to rise after the war.
