- The Foreign Ministry told about Ukrainians who found themselves in the epicentre of the war in Israel

An operational headquarters for Ukrainians continues to operate in Israel.
Ukrainian diplomats continue to search for a Ukrainian citizen who could have been in southern Israel at the time of the Hamas attack. This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko on Facebook.
He also said that Ukrainian diplomats helped one family to leave the city of Ashkelon, as well as found temporary housing for two families because of cancelled flights.
In just one day, the operational headquarters processed 80 appeals from citizens," he said.
Nikolenko specified that more often people appealed with a request to find their relatives, to find them temporary accommodation, to find out ways out of the combat zone.
In addition, Nikolenko said that diplomats are checking information about the alleged death of Ukrainian in Israel.
Work continues to obtain official confirmation of the possible death of 1 Ukrainian citizen. Information about other injured Ukrainians has not yet been received," he said.
The diplomat specified that the embassy is constantly in touch with Ukrainians who are currently in the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that Ukrainians can contact the "hotlines" in case of a critical situation:
- Ukrainian Embassy in Israel: +972 546 676 782;
- Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Ramallah: +972 59 823 93 99.
It should be noted that at least 350 people were killed as a result of the large-scale attack of Hamas terrorists on Israel on 7 October and subsequent shelling of the country. More than 750 more people are reported missing according to unofficial data.
