In Crimea, the occupants are trying to deal with civilians who actively support Ukraine. The Russians are looking for, checking and arresting "suspicious persons". There are quite a few Crimean Tatars among those arrested.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine.

According to the intelligence agency, the confrontation between the Russian invaders and the pro-Ukrainian population is growing in the temporarily occupied Crimea. There are systematic attacks on military facilities on the peninsula: they are pelted with bottles with a flammable mixture (molotov cocktails). Most of the attacks are believed to have been organised by civilians supporting Ukraine.

To counter such attacks, personnel from Russia have been placed on high alert. "Suspicious persons" who may be involved in such "incidents" are being monitored. The use of physical force and weapons is authorised. Mass detentions and arrests are carried out," the Defence Ministry's GUR reported.

In addition, citizens who renounce Russian citizenship are also arrested. After such arrests, people are reported missing. Those who have not been arrested are fined, imposed administrative punishment, poisoned, property is taken away and fired from work.

It is noted that most of the people detained and arrested by the Russians are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

They include the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyal, journalist and member of the public association "Crimean solidarity" Timur Ibragimov, public figure Rustem Seitmemetov, - added in intelligence.

Earlier Socialportal reported that in July 29, 2023, the Defence forces struck a successful blow on the Chongar bridge. Also in the temporarily occupied Crimea exploded warehouse where the Russians stored ammunition.
