Envoy of the Pope was shelled in Zaporozhye
The emissary of the Pope said that he was under fire for the first time.
Cardinal Deacon Konrad Kraevsky, who arrived in Ukraine on a humanitarian mission on behalf of the Pope, came under enemy fire. It is reported by the First Zaporozhye.
Journalists note that he came under fire near Zaporozhye.
On Saturday, September 17, Cardinal Kraevsky was in the Zaporozhye region, accompanied by a Catholic and Protestant bishops, as well as a Ukrainian military man. When he finished unloading supplies for the locals, they came under fire from light weapons, the report said.
Kraevsky admitted that he was scared.
For the first time in my life, I didn't know where to run. Because just running is not enough - you have to know where to run, the cardinal admitted.
Kraevsky and the people who were with him remained unharmed.
According to his mission, the cardinal initially came to Odessa, and then to Zaporozhye, where he is now. Then he plans to go to the Kharkiv region.
