Four torture chambers were found in Kazachya Lopan, but the fate of the hostages is unknown
The Ukrainian military liberated the village of Kazachya Lopan and the village of Tokarevka of the Dergachev community in the Kharkiv region.
In the liberated Kazachya Lopan, in the Kharkiv region, an investigation has been launched into the activities of the so-called people's militia, which operated in the settlement during its occupation, the Office of the Prosecutor General reports .
They also note that pseudo-law enforcement officers and the military of the Russian Federation tortured local residents, applying cruel punishments to them.
According to Media Initiative, after the de-occupation of Kazachya Lopan, four torture chambers were found in the territory of the settlement, in which civilians were interrogated and kept.
As local residents told reporters, every second local man went through these tortures.
Confessions to alleged crimes were beaten out, and after "confessions" they threw people into a "prison", which was organized in the premises of a vegetable base. People were put in a cage there, the report says.
The second place to isolate the residents of the village was a local cafe near the station. There, the Russians also beat their victims.
Where the prisoners disappeared from all the dungeons is unknown. According to eyewitnesses of the occupation, they were transported to the village of Goptovka, located on the border with the Russian Federation, where they were kept on the territory of the border detachment.
In general, according to the head of the Dergachev community, Vyacheslav Zadorenko, the Russians took more than a thousand people to Russia.
The prosecutor's office adds that the investigation has already identified persons who worked in Kazachya Lopan in the interests of the occupiers, and measures are being taken to bring them to criminal responsibility.
