The steppe eagle, brown bear, Eurasian lynx, black stork and common murrelet could disappear forever because of the Russian war.

The UAnimals animal protection movement announced this.

According to the activists' website, there are now stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame dedicated to Ukrainian animals that are on the brink of extinction because of the war.

With these pictures the activists want to attract the attention of the world community and remind everyone that because of Russia's war against Ukraine the Steppe Eagle, Brown Bear, Eurasian Lynx, Black Stork and Common Snipe may disappear forever.

Currently 20 per cent of Ukraine's protected areas are affected by the war, and millions of animals have already died.

In particular 10 national nature parks, 8 reserves and 2 biosphere reserves are occupied.

And in some of them the Russians allow the hunting and shooting of wild animals that have been protected.

Stars with animals are placed near the stars of Tom Cruise, Frank Sinatra, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other notable figures.

The action took place as part of the international StopEcocideUkraine campaign.
