Prominent Ukrainian scientist Igor Kozlovsky, who survived captivity of the "DNR", died of a heart attack today, 6 September 2023.
Ukrainians in social networks are saying goodbye to Ihor Kozlovskyy. The scientist and historian was born on 16 February 1954 in Makeyevka, Donetsk Region, reports Socialportal.
Kozlovsky studied at the history department at Donetsk State University and received a diploma with honours. From 1980 to 2023, he taught and gave selected lectures on religious studies at universities in Ukraine and the United States.
In 2001, he became an Associate Professor of the Department of Religious Studies at Donetsk State Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Head of the Centre for Religious Studies and International Spiritual Relations.
From 2011 to 2015 he worked as an associate professor of the Department of Philosophy at Donetsk National Technical University.
on 27 January 2016, Igor Kozlovsky was captured by militants of the so-called "DNR" for his pro-Ukrainian position. He survived torture and was held captive for almost 2 years until 27 December 2017.
The scientist died of a heart attack today, 6 September 2023.
