Ukraine will be able to pound deep into Russian Federation without allies' permission - The Telegraph

Ukraine is about to get its own ballistic missile.
Ukraine has almost completed work on the development of its own long-range missile, which will be able to hit the far reaches of Russia. Among other things, the missile will be able to reach Moscow. This is reported by The Telegraph.
Ukraine is as close as possible to obtaining a missile capable of threatening dictator Vladimir Putin personally, - said in the article.
It is said that the missile in question is the powerful ballistic missile Grom-2. The newspaper writes that it is a single-stage solid-fuelled missile capable of carrying a 500 kg warhead to a distance of up to 500 km.
It significantly surpasses the capabilities of the Tochka missile of the 1970s, which has been the best weapon of this type in Ukraine so far," the newspaper said.
It is known that the work on the missile development in Ukraine lasted more than nine years. Strengthened funding for the project received in 2022. In the summer, the first tests of the weapon were held, and as the developers pointed out, they were successful.
The Telegraf notes that if these missiles enter service with the Ukrainian army, the AFU will be able to strike deep into Russia and allied permission for these strikes will not be needed.
Thanks to the Grom-2, restrictions on long-range strikes are effectively lifted. The only obstacle will remain only the speed of production of new missiles," the authors of the article note.
They add that the use of these missiles could make strikes against military and strategic facilities on Russian territory more effective and frequent.
