Ukraine officially addresses Poland over driver's death on border

The blockade by Polish carriers of checkpoints on the Ukrainian border has already killed the second Ukrainian driver. Therefore, Ukraine has sent an official note to the Polish Foreign Ministry.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, said this.
The Ukrainian embassy has sent another official note to the Polish Foreign Ministry in connection with the death of a Ukrainian driver who was in a queue in front of the Korczowa checkpoint.
Ukraine demands to unblock the movement of lorries. After all, according to Zvarych, the blockade poses a threat to the life and health of people, as well as to the safety and order of traffic on public roads.
We urge the Polish authorities to take decisive action to unblock the traffic and not to allow Ukrainian, Polish and foreign truck drivers to stand in multi-kilometre queues without proper conditions for this - to become hostages to the actions of the protest organisers," the Ukrainian ambassador said.
He noted that everyone has the right to protest and defend their position. However, the form, time and duration chosen by the Polish carriers poses a real threat.
Therefore, it is extremely important to save human lives, to stop blocking the movement of vehicles and to give drivers the opportunity to return home without hindrance, - Zvarych concluded.
We will remind, Polish carriers began the blockade of the Ukrainian border on 6 November. At the moment, four checkpoints are blocked: Shehyni - Medyka, Krakivets - Korcheva, Rawa-Russkaya - Grebennoye and Yahodyn - Dorohusk.
