"Ukraine is not Russia. Twenty years later": Kuchma republished a famous book

Today, 20 November, Leonid Kuchma presented the book "Ukraine is not Russia. Twenty years later".
This was reported by the press secretary of the second Ukrainian president, Leonid Kuchma, Darka Olifer.
It is noted that the book was an updated version of the work"Ukraine is not Russia", which Leonid Kuchma published in 2003. However, the book 2023 is fully intended for Ukrainians.
A significant part of the text of the first edition contained historical parallels and author's arguments, with the help of which Leonid Kuchma tried to explain to the Russian audience why Ukraine is not Russia. In the new edition, there is no longer any targeting of Russians. Attempts to convey some truth to them proved futile," the statement said.
In addition, sections that have lost their relevance have been shortened or deleted in the book. Kuchma added to each section lengthy comments on the 2003 text.
The updated edition was published by the Kiev-based ADEF-Ukraine publishing house. The cover of the book features photos of Ihor Hetalo, head of the operations and coordination centre of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region. He found this book on 14 January 2023 in the city of Dnipro during the removal of rubble destroyed by a Russian missile in the entrance of a residential building on Pobedy Embankment," added Darka Olifer.
According to her, the printed edition of the book is intended for the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, major Ukrainian libraries, universities, central and regional authorities. The electronic version will be freely available.
It is noted that the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma decided to rewrite the famous book in 2023, the day when a Russian missile hit a residential building in the city of Dnipro. It was on 14 January that rescuers found the book "Ukraine is not Russia" disfigured by the fire on the ashes.
