Ukraine has received requests from Russians for 50,000 missing soldiers

Russians have submitted 50,000 requests to search for missing soldiers through the "I Want to Find" project.
Russians have made enquiries about more than 50,000 missing soldiers as part of the "I Want to Find" project. This figure may be just the tip of the iceberg. This was reported by Bohdan Okhrimenko, head of the Coordination Headquarters Secretariat, in an interview for ArmyInform.
Key points:
- The "I Want to Find" project is a continuation of the "I Want to Live" phone line.
- Okhrimenko noted that the number of requests has reached 50,000. However, these are only cases where Russian citizens are not afraid to turn.
- At a closed session in the State Duma voiced a figure of 48 thousand missing persons.
According to estimates of the Coordination Headquarters, the real number of missing may exceed 100 thousand people. This figure does not take into account the dead, whose remains remain unidentified on the battlefields.
Losses of Russian troops
According to the General Staff of the AFU, Russia has lost more than 793 thousand people since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Only in the last 24 hours, 1080 Russian soldiers were eliminated. In 2024, record losses of the Russian Federation were recorded - more than 430 thousand people, which is equivalent to the number of 36 motorised rifle divisions.
The highest losses for the whole year came in December, exceeding the previous anti-record of November.
Identifying the dead is not a priority for Russia. Many remains remain lying in our fields, spread by animals. This clearly demonstrates the indifference of the Russian authorities to their citizens," Okhrimenko stressed.
