Ukraine has identified 357 servicemen of the Russian army and representatives of the occupation "authorities" who are involved in war crimes. However, the real number of offences is much higher.

This was reported by Ukrainian Prosecutor-General Andriy Kostin on social network X.

He noted that Russia had been kidnapping, torturing and killing Ukrainians since 2014. And since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the occupiers have intensified their policy of intimidation and destruction of everyone who considers himself a Ukrainian.

The office of the Prosecutor General, in particular, is dealing with war crimes against Ukraine.

To date, 357 servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces and representatives of the occupation "authorities" suspected of committing premeditated murders, torture and cruel treatment of civilians and prisoners of war have already been identified. 83 of them have been convicted," Kostin said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian prosecutor-general believes that the real number of war crimes is much higher. We are talking, among other things, about offences committed in the temporarily occupied territories and places of detention in the Russian Federation

Andrei Kostin discussed the offences of the arresting country with the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Mr Morris Tidball-Binz.

Zelensky named the number of Russian crimes against Ukrainians registered by the National Police

National Police registered more than 114,000 offences related to Russian aggression
