Ukraine asks for sanctions against all Russian banks

This was stated by Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova to Bloomberg.

She says the Ukrainian government will urge the administration of US President Joe Biden to impose sanctions on all Russian private banks to deprive President Putin of the ability to wage war.

Official Kyiv wants the US to add several banks weekly to its list of sanctioned financial institutions. The Ambassador said she had submitted a relevant request to the US Treasury Department.

She added that Ukraine is also pushing for the US State Department to put Russia on its list of state sponsors of terrorism.
