Ukraine appoints sexologist as ambassador to Bulgaria
The newly appointed ambassador was formerly a Gestalt therapist and sexologist consultant.

The Ukrainian president signed a decree on the appointment of the new ambassador on 23 December. Olesya Konstantinovna Ilashchuk was appointed as Ukraine's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Bulgaria.
Little is known about the biography of the new ambassador so far. One of the two Facebook profiles of Olesya Ilashchuk says that she is a specialist in the processing of precious stones.
On the other profile, Ilashchuk is positioned as a "clinical psychologist, system-family therapist, gestalt therapist, sexologist-consultant". This profile was blocked on Sunday evening.

It is worth noting that political appointments to ambassadorial positions of persons from outside the MFA are not exceptional. But appointments with no experience in the international sphere at all are singular.
