Ukrainian Foreign Ministry fails to understand why Germany cannot give Ukraine tanks

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this in an interview with the German TV channel ARD.

Kuleba believes that the allies are not interested in a protracted war, so he does not understand why the Scholz government is not giving Ukraine Leopard 2 tanks.

If the country is under-armed, there will be a protracted war - it is not in the interests of either Ukraine or its Western partners. As far as I know, the most recent agreements with Berlin concern primarily defensive systems, such as IRIS-T and Gepard.

So far, there is no talk of German Leopard 2 tanks, which Kiev has long requested. Dmytro Kuleba said that a decision has not yet been made, but Ukraine is working on it.
