Scientists have named the date of the end of the world

Although the end of the world is near, it may take longer than previously thought.
Since its formation about 4.5 billion years ago, the Earth has experienced five mass extinctions in which about 75 percent of the life on the planet was destroyed. The most famous of these events is the episode with the giant asteroid Chicxulub, which destroyed the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. Due to the impact and its aftermath, 76 percent of the species on Earth became extinct.
However, scientists believe that this is not the end. They have long warned that the Earth may already be in the midst of a sixth mass extinction.
Anthropogenic climate change leads to the extinction or disappearance of billions of species, experts say.
At the same time, they reassured that this would not happen tomorrow. In a new study, scientists have predicted that while this horrific event may already be happening, it could take much longer to peak than previously expected.
For example, Kunio Kaiho, a Japanese climatologist at Tohoku University, found in a study that there is an approximately proportional relationship between the average temperature of the Earth's surface and the biodiversity of the planet.
As the average surface temperature either rises or falls abnormally, more creatures become extinct, he explained.
The scientist emphasized that most extinctions are caused by sudden changes in climate, either heating or cooling to extreme degrees.
The professor found that in the event of global cooling, the temperature of the earth's surface decreased by 7°C. And in the case of rising temperatures, devastating effects were noted after the earth's surface warmed up by 9°C more.
A recent report by the IPCC estimated that, on its current trajectory, humanity is on track to have global warming raise average temperatures by 3 degrees Celsius by 2030, which could lead to the extinction of millions of species.
However, Kunio Kaiho believes that three degrees will not cause such significant destruction, and points out that for this the Earth must warm up by much more.
Global warming of 9 degrees will not appear until at least 2500, he believes.
