Tusk believes that Europe has a high military potential and does not need US help

Europe must strengthen its self-confidence, Warsaw believes.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said before travelling to the summit on Ukraine in London that Europe now resembles an awakened giant that can stand up to the enemy. His words are quoted by Polskie Radio.
I once said that a giant has woken up in Poland. Now this giant has woken up in Europe," said Tusk.
He pointed out that if Europe lacks something today, it is not economic or demographic advantage, but the belief that it is "truly a global union."
Europe must realise its strength. It is well-armed and ready to defend our borders. It is a Europe that can guarantee peace. Not through Ukraine's surrender, but through our own collective strength," he said.
He also said that Poland remains on Ukraine's side "without any conditionality".
He admitted that Washington's current position "is not so unambiguous" on the issue of Russian aggression.
Earlier, Tusk said that he considered it absurd that "500 million Europeans are asking 300 million Americans to protect them from 140 million Russians".
