The journalists' car was destroyed by Russian shelling, as were many other cars near the hotel.
Two journalists of the Turkish Anadolu news agency (AA) have come under fire in Kharkiv. This was reported by Anadolu on 11 January.
During the shelling, two rockets hit the Park Hotel, where the AA reporters, who have been following and covering the Ukrainian-Russian war on the frontline for a long time, were staying," the agency said.
AA reporter David Kachkachishvili and photojournalist Ozge Elif Kyzyl, who were on duty on 10 January, managed to get out of the destroyed and flamed hotel by their own efforts.
Reporter Kachkachishvili had minor cuts on his hands. The journalists' car was destroyed as a result of the shelling, as were many other cars near the hotel.
Russian Federation attacked Kharkiv with missiles on the evening of 10 January. Two missiles hit the hotel, 10 people were injured, including a foreign journalist.
