Top managers of a concern working for Russian Federation detained
The State Security Service of Ukraine has detained two top managers of a concern from Zhytomyr Region, which supplied barrier systems to Russian defence industry enterprises.
The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained the top management of a concern from Zhytomyr Region, which has so far continued to provide the Russian military-industrial complex with barrier systems. This was reported by the SBI on 17 January.
It has been established that a group of companies from Zhytomyr Region supplied the Russian defence industry with barrier systems used in the aggressive war against Ukraine.
Before the war, the concern belonged to a businessman, who a few days before the war left Ukraine, and after the invasion re-registered the property to controlled persons who continued to work with the Russian Federation, - stated in the message.
The concern set up supplies through controlled foreign and Russian spacer firms. It was these companies sent "orders" to the Ukrainian manufacturer allegedly for the needs of a third party.
Only during the year 2022, the defendants delivered to Russia several batches of relevant products for more than 1.5 million US dollars, - reported in the GBI.
Employees of the GBR together with the SBU at the end of December 2023 conducted searches in the premises of the concern and places of residence of its top managers, investigators of the GBR seized things and documents evidencing the operational activities of the enterprises of the concern on the territory of Ukraine and Russia.
Now two top managers of the concern have been detained, who have been declared suspected of committing deliberate actions aimed at assisting the aggressor state, committed by an organised group under part 3 of article 28, part 1 of article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At least three more members of the group, including its organiser, are outside Ukraine. These persons will be informed of suspicion in absentia.
The article provides for imprisonment of up to 12 years. The issue of arresting the property of the companies and handing them over to ARMA is being resolved.
