For the first time in the history of the UN, a representative of the Russian Federation was not elected to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

For the first time in history, Russia's representative was not elected to the UN International Court of Justice. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on Thursday, 9 November, in social network X.

The Ukrainian president noted that the UN has begun to cleanse itself of Russia's malicious influence.

For the first time in the history of the UN, its member states have denied Russia the right to administer justice on their behalf in the UN International Court of Justice. The world sees who destroys international law rather than defending it, - wrote Vladimir Zelensky.

Zelensky congratulated the representatives of Australia, Mexico, South Africa, Romania and the USA on their victory in the elections to the UN International Court of Justice in both the Security Council and the General Assembly.
