There are practically no safe places left in Kharkiv region - OBA speaker

There are almost no places left in the Kharkiv region that could be safe.

The press secretary of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Olena Shapoval, told Radio Liberty on air.

Unfortunately, there are practically no safe places left in Kharkiv region, as the enemy strikes such devastating blows in broad daylight," the OBA spokeswoman said.

According to Shapoval, Kharkiv and Kharkiv region are always in the risk zone, because it is 30 kilometres from the border with Russia and from the front line.

Today, on May 23, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kharkiv. The occupiers shelled several districts, and seven people have been killed and 21 injured. All of them are employees of a large printing house.

The speaker added that all the strikes were carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation, from Belgorod.

In addition to the regional centre, the aggressor country today attacked Dergachy in Kharkiv region. As a result of the strike, 13 people were injured, four of them - in hospital. And in the village of Ryasnoye, according to the OBA, an 11-year-old boy was injured by a drone explosion.
