The top beauty trends for autumn-winter 2025/26: glowing skin, golden eyelids and lacquered lips
Autumn-Winter 2025/26 promises to be a season of contrasts.
Autumn-Winter 2025/26 promises to be a season of contrasts. According to Harper's Bazaar India, catwalk make-up and styling ranges from perfect precision to effortless naturalness, playing on the edge of light and shadow, shine and matte. Future trends show how makeup and hair can be used to emphasise shape, change the mood or even an entire look.
Your skin, but better
The main idea of the season is naturalness. At the Prabal Gurung show, make-up artist Sil Bruinsma completely abandoned foundation, leaving only Peach & Lily care. The models took to the catwalk with glowing skin, as if illuminated from within - the light reflected even from the shoulders and collarbones. Moschino brought this effect to an architectural sheen, while Chanel showed French lightness and restraint. By the winter of 2025, it looks like the whole world will switch to "glossy skin".

Wave effect
The side parting with tousled curls is back. Zuhair Murad 's hair is styled in a glossy wave that smoothly follows the cheekbone line. At Lever, the shape is more rigid, like liquid lacquer. The main message is that this style is back in fashion. The casual version adapts the trend in a softer way, with a slight side parting and strands tucked behind the ears for an elegant look without too much shine.

Gold on the eyelids
A delicate gold accent has replaced the smokey ace. At the Kobi Halperin show in New York, models' eyelids were coated with tiny gold particles - the slight shimmer emphasised the drama of the outfits without distracting attention. In Paris, Iris van Herpen turned gold into futuristic "liquid" frames around the eyes, combining make-up with the sculptural design of her costumes. Replicating the look is simple: just apply a little gold pigment to the corner of the eye or brush a transparent layer over the eyelid.

Sculpted blush
Blush this season is not just a colour, but a facial modelling tool. At the ArdAzAei show, pink and lavender shades were applied from temples to cheekbones, creating a lifting effect and architectural clarity. This technique visually elongates the face and makes the look fresh even with minimal make-up.

Lacquer lips
Glossy lips are back in the spotlight. Schiaparelli eschewed matte tones, opting for rich black and dark red glosses. Legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath combined PermaGel Xtreme Black pencil with Elson Lipliner, leaving the rest of the face neutral. Hair gathered into sleek bunches by Guido Palau emphasised the mirrored skin and perfect lip lines - a powerful yet concise look.

The F/W 2025-2026 season sets the tone: naturalness, light and structure. The combination of simplicity and theatricality creates a new harmony in which the skin glows, the look shimmers and the lips shine like lacquer.
