The Russian occupiers banned the leaders of the Zaporizhzhya NPP from leaving

The Russian troops, who seized the Zaporizhzhya NPP, forbade the plant managers to leave the city of Energodar.
This was reported by the press service of Energoatom in Telegram.
Yesterday, May 3, 2022, the Russian invaders did not let Yury Chernichuk, chief engineer of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, leave Energodar. He was supposed to participate in the meeting of the Council of Chief Engineers of SE NNEGC Energoatom, which was decided to be held on May 4 in Zaporozhye, the Ukrainian free city closest to the ZNPP, the report says.
The invaders detained Chernichuk at the checkpoint at the exit from Energodar and took him to the FSB for interrogation. After that, Chernichuk and other leaders of the ZNPP were forbidden to leave the city, even if work required it, Energoatom added.
Experts from Russia's largest nuclear power plant in Europe are actually being held hostage. And this further complicates the work of ZNPP and adds risks. For again and again, the invaders, not only not understanding what object they are dealing with, but also not thinking soberly about any of their actions, expose humanity to the danger of a new nuclear catastrophe, the message says.
Experts remind, given the scale and power of the station, the nuclear danger can be equal to at least six Chernobyls.
