The Ministry of Finance promises indexation for the next year. But the mechanisms and dimensions have not yet been determined.
Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
If there had been no war, this issue would not even be discussed. But since we have a rather difficult budget, a difficult situation ... I hope that we will find a wise solution, he said.
According to him, the law requires indexation of pension payments in March. However, in general, its implementation will be considered in more detail. So far, neither the mechanisms nor the size of indexing are known.
He called finding funds to finance the budget deficit the key task of the government. According to him, partner countries will be involved in this.
