Soldiers of the special unit of the Odessa detachment of the Maritime Security Service have been improving the level of combat and tactical training for several weeks. A photo of the exercise was published by the State Security Service of Ukraine.

The servicemen practised small group actions in field and urban conditions, in close combat and in conditions of mine barriers, tactics of actions on the water, evacuation of wounded from the coast.

A set of exercises on tactical medicine was conducted in accordance with Tactical Combat Casualty Care-Medical Personal protocols.

Practical exercises took place in conditions as close to combat as possible. Under different scenarios, the soldiers reached the wounded, identified mined positions, provided medical assistance, calculated safe ways and methods of evacuation of the wounded from the shelling zone to a safe place, - reported in the GPSU.

Also the soldiers worked out skills and abilities during the movement on water bodies on watercraft with firing, landing on the shore and evacuation of the wounded from the coast.

The situation in combat can change instantly and each of us physically and psychologically must be ready for any conditions. Therefore, to always have a high level of skills and readiness, we learn new techniques, we train day and night, despite difficult weather conditions, - said the commander of the special unit, Captain 2nd rank with the call sign "Granit".

It is noted that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to be reformed in line with the EU and NATO standards.
